Homemade Cottage Cheese (paneer)

Cottage cheese is one of the quick and fresh variety of cheese that can easily be made at home!

I like making cottage cheese at home always, as it tastes better that store brought. Here is a simple recipe to follow


  • Full Cream Milk – 1 Liter
  • Lemon – 2


  1. Boil milk in a deep pan , once boiling put it on simmer
  2. Add lemon juice a little at a time and keep stirring the milk slowly
  3. The milk will start curdling, stop adding more lemon when you see greenish whey separated from the milk curdles
  4. Take it off the heat
  5. Line a strainer with muslin cloth and strain the curdled mix
  6. Was it with clean water to remove sourness of lemon from it, hand it for sometime so all water is dropped out
  7. Put it in a container and press gently and refrigerate (To give it a good shape)
